Vice President Of Yemen
The Vice President of the Republic of Yemen is the second highest political position in Yemen. As of 7 April 2022, the role is fulfilled by the Deputy Chairmen of the Presidential Leadership Council. Under the Constitution of Yemen, the Vice President is appointed by the President, and acts as constitutional successor of the President in case of a vacancy. The Vice President assists the President in his duties. The President may delegate some of his functions to the Vice President. The position of the Vice President of Yemen was occupied by Yemen Army general Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar from 4 April 2016, after being appointed by the President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. Emblem Of Yemen
The national emblem of Yemen depicts a golden eagle of Saladin with a scroll between its claws. On the scroll is written the name of the country in ar, الجمهورية اليمنية or ("The Yemeni Republic"). The chest of the eagle contains a shield that depicts a coffee plant and the Marib Dam, with seven blue wavy stripes below. The flagstaffs on the right and left of the eagle hold the flag of Yemen. The Yemeni Civil War was a civil war fought between the two Yemeni forces of the pro-union northern and the socialist separatist southern Yemeni states and their supporters. The war resulted in the defeat of the southern armed forces, the reunification of Yemen, and the flight into exile of many Yemeni Socialist Party (YSP) leaders and other separatists. Ali Salem, also transliterated Ali Salim, ( ar, على سالم, ; 24 February 1936 – 22 September 2015) was an Egyptian playwright, author, and political commentator known for controversially endorsing cooperation with Israel. Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani ( ; 4 July 1939 – 22 August 2011) was a Yemeni politician who served as Prime Minister of Yemen from 1994 to 1997, under President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Ghani was a member of the General People's Congress party. Ghani also served as the second Vice President of Yemen Arab Republic in the 1980s, and as the Prime Minister of the Yemen Arab Republic twice. His first term was from 1975 to 1980, and his second term was from 1983 to unification in 1990.
