Viasat Fotball was a Norwegian Pay-TV channel owned by Viasat. It is a sports channel which broadcasts games from around the world. Events shown on this channel include the FA CUP, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Coca-Cola Championships and some League 1 matches from England. This channel broadcast 16 World Cup matches in 2010. UEFA Champions League games are usually shown on this channel on Tuesday, while Wednesday's game will be shown on Viasat 4. Viasat (Nordic Television Service)
Viasat was a satellite and pay television brand, co-owned by the Swedish media group Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) in the Nordic countries, Antenna Group in Hungary, and by Viasat World internationally. Founded in Sweden in 1991, Viasat has previously been owned by Modern Times Group. The channels of both companies were broadcast from London. In 2020 Viasat formed a joint venture with Canal Digital to form the company Allente. The merger was completed on April 13, 2021. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. TV3+ (formerly V4 and Viasat 4) is a television channel broadcasting to Norway owned by the Viaplay Group. The channel was launched test on 28 September 2007, a week 14 June 2014 after the launch of the digital terrestrial television network in Norway, replacing ZTV which ceased broadcasting shortly before. The channel opened with the European Championship qualifying match between Moldova and Norway. Its main focus is on entertainment, sports and documentaries, transmitting series such as Most Shocking, Stargate Atlantis, The 4400, Star Trek, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Riches, UEFA Champions League matches and Futurama, with short news bulletins from P4 on weeknights.
