Biography Vezin was born on August 14, 1859 in Torresdale, Philadelphia. He was the son of Charles Vezin and Caroline Vezin, née Kalisky. His family originally came from Saint-Florentin, Yonne in France. According to Richard Böger, Pierre Vezin (1654–1727) was forced to flee after he gave assistance to the Huguenots, even though he was a Catholic. He settled down in Hanover as a viola player. Hermann Vezin
Hermann Vezin (March 2, 1829 – June 12, 1910) was an American actor, teacher of elocution and writer. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and educated at the University of Pennsylvania. Life and work Vezin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles Henri/Carl Heinrich Vezin (1782–1853), a German merchant of French heritage, and his wife Emilie, née Kalinsky (1804–1858). His great-great-grandfather Pierre (de) Vezin (1654-1727) was married on the 14th August 1689 in the St. Clement's Basilica, Hanover, St. Clement's Basilica in Hanover to the seventeenth-century French actress Marie Charlotte Pâtissier de Châteauneuf (1672-1729). Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle, Rouget de Lisle, the composer of the French national anthem, "La Marseillaise," was one of his distant cousins. Jane Vezin
Jane Elizabeth Vezin (; 24 February 1829 – 17 April 1902) was a British actress. Life She was born while her mother was on tour in England in 1829. She was the daughter of George Thomson, merchant, by his wife Peggy Cook, an actress, whose aunt, Sarah West, enjoyed a high position on the stage. At an early age, she accompanied her parents to Australia, and at eight, as a child singer and dancer, earned a reputation as a prodigy. In 1845, she was playing at the Victoria Theatre, Melbourne. In June 1846, at Trinity Church, Launceston, Tasmania, she was married to Charles Frederick Young, a comedian. She supported G. V.
