Vestmarka Line
The Vestmarka Line ( no, Vestmarkabanen) is an abandoned railway between Skotterud and Vestmarka, Eidskog, Vestmarka in Eidskog, Norway. The line was 14.3 kilometers long and opened on 15 October 1918. The line was the first railway in Norway to close to passengers, on 3 January 1931. Freight transport between Buåa and Vestmarka was terminated on 15 February 1961 and the line completely terminated on 1 June 1965. Railway
Rail transport (also known as train transport) is a means of transport that transfers passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, which are incorporated in tracks. In contrast to road transport, where the vehicles run on a prepared flat surface, rail vehicles (rolling stock) are directionally guided by the tracks on which they run.
