''Vespertine'' is the fourth studio album by Icelandic recording artist Björk. It was released on 27 August 2001 in the United Kingdom by One Little Independent Records and in the United States by Elektra Entertainment. Production on the album began during the filming of ''Dancer in the Dark''. With ''Vespertine'', Björk aspired to create an album with an intimate and domestic feeling, deviating from the brash sonority of her previous studio album ''Homogenic'' (1997). Console (also known as Acid Pauli) is an electronic music project founded by Martin Gretschmann, the former lead programmer for the German band The Notwist. The band incorporates elements of electronic music. The band consists of Miriam Osterrieder (vocals, keyboard), Christoph Brandner (drums), Axel Fischer (MS10, guitar), Michael Schwaiger (keyboard, pad), Anton Kaun (visuals), and Martin Gretschmann (computer). Born in Bavaria, Martin Gretschmann started playing bass in various independent rock bands as early as the early 1990s with Axel Fischer, Matthias Laub, and Christian Schröcker, and played numerous concerts (including supporting The Notwist tour). ''Homogenic'' is the third studio album by Icelandic recording artist Björk. It was released on 20 September 1997 by One Little Indian Records. Produced by Björk, Mark Bell, Guy Sigsworth, Howie B, and Markus Dravs, the album marked a stylistic change, focusing on similar-sounding music combining electronic beats and string instruments with songs in tribute to her native country Iceland. ''Dancer in the Dark'' is a 2000 musical drama film written and directed by Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier. Tríó Guðmundar Ingólfssonar ( Eng.: Guðmundur Ingólfsson's Trio) was an Icelandic bebop group and a piano trio, long since disbanded, following the death of its leader, pianist Guðmundur Ingólfsson in 1991. The other two members of the trio were the drummer Guðmundur Steingrímsson and the bassist Þórður Högnason. ''Gling-Gló'' is the only studio album by Björk Guðmundsdóttir & tríó Guðmundar Ingólfssonar, consisting of Björk Guðmundsdóttir on vocals, Guðmundur Ingólfsson on piano, Guðmundur Steingrímsson on drums, and Þórður Högnason on bass. ''Björk'' is the only studio album by Icelandic singer Björk as a child singer, released on 18 December 1977 by Fálkinn. In 1976, Björk appeared on Icelandic radio singing "I Love to Love" through the music school she attended, which led her to a record deal and the release, with the help of stepfather Sævar, of her first solo album in 1977.
