Veselé (german: Freudenberg) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants. Administrative parts The hamlet of Veselíčko 1. díl is an administrative part of Veselé. Etymology The name literally means 'merry', 'cheerful' in Czech. It was derived from the original German name ''Freudenberg'', meaning 'merry hill'. Geography Veselé is located about east of Děčín and northeast of Ústí nad Labem. It lies in the hilly landscape of the Central Bohemian Uplands. The highest point is the Veselka hill at above sea level. The village is situated along the Bystrá River.
