''Towards Evening'' ( it, Verso sera) is a 1990 Italian drama film directed by Francesca Archibugi. It was entered into the 17th Moscow International Film Festival. For her performance Zoe Incrocci was awarded with a David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress and a Silver Ribbon in the same category. The film also won the David di Donatello for Best Film and the Nastro d'Argento for Best Actor (to Marcello Mastroianni). Francesca Archibugi
Francesca Archibugi (; born 16 May 1960) is an Italian film director and scriptwriter. Life and career Born and raised in Rome in an intellectual family (her elder brother is the political and economic theorist Daniele Archibugi), she started to study acting with Alessandro Fersen and graduated in Film Direction from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. From 1980 to 1983 she directed short films such as ''La piccola avventura'' (1981), about handicapped children, and acted in '' La caduta degli angeli ribelli'' (1981), directed by Marco Tullio Giordana and starring Alida Valli. She filmed the short ''Un sogno truffato'' in 1984 with the Lualdi-Interlenghi duo and played the neurotic intellectual woman in Giuseppe Bertolucci's film '' Segreti, segreti'' (1986), again starring Alida Valli, and with Rossana Podestà, Lea Massari, Lina Sastri and Stefania Sandrelli. Giorgio Tirabassi
Giorgio Tirabassi (born 1 February 1960) is an Italian film, television, and stage actor, as well as director. Life and career Born in Rome, Tirabassi made his debut as an actor in avant-garde theater and then worked at the Teatro Stabile di Catania. Since 1982, he has been a member of the stage company of Gigi Proietti. His breakout role was the inspector Ardenzi in the Canale 5 crime TV-series '' Distretto di Polizia''. In 2001, he made his directorial debut with the short ''Non dire gatto'', winning a David di Donatello for Best Short Film. In 2011, he won a Ciak d'oro for best supporting actor for his performance in Ascanio Celestini's '' La pecora nera''. Tirabassi is also a singer and is the lead vocalist in the band Music Inn. On 1 November 2019, Tirabassi suffered a heart attack while presenting his first movie as director. He was hospitalized in stable condition, and recovered in a short time. Giovanni "Pupo" De Luca (18 December 1924 – 18 December 2006) was an Italian actor and jazz musician. Life and career Born in Milan, after the World War II De Luca started his career in the theaters of his hometown, performing in revues, dialect theatre, and dramas. He had his breakout in the late 1960s, with the role of Fritz in the RAI TV-series ''Nero Wolfe''.
