Jolien Verschueren
Jolien Verschueren (7 May 1990 – 2 July 2021) was a Belgian cyclo-cross cyclist, who rode for UCI Cyclo-cross team . She represented her nation in the women's elite event at the 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder. Verschueren combined her cycling career with working as a schoolteacher. She won the Koppenbergcross in 2015 and repeated this at the 2016 DVV Verzekeringen Trofee Koppenbergcross 2016, besting world champion Thalita de Jong Thalita de Jong (born 6 November 1993) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for Dutch amateur team JEGG–DJR Academy. Theo Verschueren (born 27 January 1943) is a retired Belgian cyclist. He had his best achievements in motor-paced racing, in which he won the world championships in the professionals category in 1971 and 1972 and finished second in 1969, 1970 and 1974. During his career Verschueren took part in 67 six-day road races, winning the race of Antwerp in 1968 and 1972. He married the daughter of Belgian cyclist Petrus Van Theemsche. He is not related to Adolph Verschueren, another motor-paced racing world champion from Belgium. Michel Verschueren (17 March 1931 – 14 September 2022) was a Belgian businessman and sporting director. A former footballer, Verschueren was manager and trainer for multiple clubs, notably serving as manager for R.S.C. Anderlecht from 1981 to 2003. Arno Verschueren (born 8 April 1997) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam. Adolph Verschueren (also Adolf; 10 June 1922 – 30 April 2004) was a Belgian cyclist. As a road cyclist, he won the Tour of Flanders in 1942 and the sixth stage of Tour de Suisse in 1949. As a track cyclist, he competed in motor-paced racing in the professionals category. He won the European championships in 1951, 1953, 1956 and 1958 and three consecutive world championships in 1952–1954. He finished in second place in the European championships in 1952, 1954 and 1955. In 1954 he set a world record in 1 hour race (58.85 km).
