Verran Tucker
Verran Mitchell Tucker (born June 26, 1988) is a former American football wide receiver. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at California. Early years Tucker attended Fairfax High School. In his only season of prep football as a senior, he tallied 44 receptions for 504 yards, 7 receiving touchdowns, 8 carries for 40 yards, 58 tackles and 4 interceptions. He contributed to his team winning Los Angeles City title, before being eliminated in the state playoffs. College career Tucker enrolled at El Camino College. As a freshman in 2006, he caught 16 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns. As a sophomore in 2007, Tucker had 26 receptions for 538 yards and a team-high nine touchdowns. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. In American football, the specific role that a player takes on the field is referred to as their "position". Under the modern rules of American football, both teams are allowed 11 players on the field at one time and have "unlimited free substitutions", meaning that they may change any number of players during any "dead ball" situation. Christopher J. Chambers (born August 12, 1978) is a former American football wide receiver who played 10 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers football, University of Wisconsin.
