It runs on 95 octane automobile fuel or 100LL Avgas. The recommended time between overhauls is 1000 hours. The engine was still advertised for sale on the company website in 2013, but by 2015 was no longer listed as available and it is likely that production has ended. Radial Engine
The radial engine is a reciprocating type internal combustion engine configuration in which the cylinders "radiate" outward from a central crankcase like the spokes of a wheel. It resembles a stylized star when viewed from the front, and is called a "star engine" in some other languages. The radial configuration was commonly used for aircraft engines before gas turbine engines became predominant. Engine operation Since the axes of the cylinders are coplanar, the connecting rods cannot all be directly attached to the crankshaft unless mechanically complex forked connecting rods are used, none of which have been successful. Instead, the pistons are connected to the crankshaft with a master-and-articulating-rod assembly. Šumperk
Šumperk (; german: Mährisch Schönberg) is a town in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 26,000 inhabitants. It is the centre of the north of Moravia and, due to its location, is known as "The Gate to the Jeseníky mountains." Etymology The original German name is a compound of an adjective "schön" (meaning "beautiful") and a noun "berg" (meaning "hill"), later supplemented by a distinguishing adjective ''Mährisch'' (= Moravian). The Czech name evolved from a direct phonetic transcription of ''Schönberg'' – "Šenberk" (schön=šen; berg=berk), later "Šumberk" and finally "Šumperk".
