Veriko Tchumburidze
''Veriko Tchumburidze'' ( Georgian: ვერიკო ჭუმბურიძე; born 20 April 1996) is a Georgian / Turkish classical violinist who won 1st prize at the 15th Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in 2016 at age of 20. Early life and education Veriko Tchumburidze was born into a Georgian musical family in Adana, southern Turkey, in 1996. Her father David Tchumburidze plays oboe and her mother Lili Tchumburidze is a violinist; both are teaching at Mersin University State Conservatory since 1995; her sister Sofiko is a violinist as well. Veriko has started playing the violin at the age of three and a half with her mother Lili. She initially studied at Mersin University State Conservatory with Selahattin Yunkuş and Lili Tchumburidze. Sinfonia Varsovia
The Sinfonia Varsovia is an orchestra and a musical institution based in Warsaw, Poland. It was founded in 1984 by Yehudi Menuhin, Waldemar Dąbrowski and Franciszek Wybrańczyk, as a successor to the Polish Chamber Orchestra. Since 2003 the orchestra has been led by Krzysztof Penderecki as its artistic director. Menuhin had a close relationship with the orchestra that he helped to found, conducting them in the recording of a full cycle of Schubert's symphonies released in 1998. This followed a cycle of live performances of Beethoven's symphonies in 1994. The cycle was recorded and commercially released. Lahti Symphony Orchestra
The Lahti Symphony Orchestra (''Sinfonia Lahti'') is a Finnish orchestra, based in the city of Lahti. The orchestra is resident at the Sibelius Hall. The orchestra was founded in 1910, and placed under the control of the Lahti municipality in 1949. History Past chief conductors of the orchestra have included Ulf Söderblom (1985-1988). Osmo Vänskä became principal guest conductor of the orchestra in 1985, and chief conductor in 1988. Sidney Myer Music Bowl
The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is an outdoor bandshell performance venue in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is located in the lawns and gardens of Kings Domain on Linlithgow Avenue close to the Arts Centre and the Southbank entertainment precinct. It was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Australia, Robert Menzies, on 12 February 1959, with an audience of 30,000 people. It is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is an Australian orchestra based in Melbourne. The MSO is resident at Hamer Hall. The MSO has its own choir, the MSO Chorus, following integration with the Melbourne Chorale in 2008. Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra
The Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra or just the Mariinsky Orchestra (formerly known as the Kirov Orchestra) is located in the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. The orchestra was founded in 1783 during the reign of Catherine the Great, it was known before the revolution as the Russian Imperial Opera Orchestra. The orchestra is one of the oldest musical institutions in Russia. In 1935 Joseph Stalin changed its name (and that of the Ballet) to the Kirov, after Sergei Kirov, the first secretary of the Communist Party in Leningrad, whose 1934 Sergei Kirov's assassination, murder by his regime Stalin was attempting to whitewash. The Orchester Musikkollegium Winterthur is a Swiss symphony orchestra based in Winterthur, Switzerland at its namesake venue, the Musikkollegium Winterthur. The Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt or ''BSOF'' is a symphony orchestra based in Frankfurt (Oder) in Germany. It is the orchestra of the state of Brandenburg.
