The Carinthian Astronomical Association (CAA - German: ''Astronomische Vereinigung Kärntens'', AVK) Is the second great astronomical association in Austria. The CAA owns two observatories and one planetarium. One observatory is located near Klagenfurt, on the Kreuzbergl, the other on the Gerlitze, near Villach. The planetarium is situated a Klagenfurt near Minimundus. History In 1961 the maths teacher Helmut Lenhof from Klagenfurt arranged a trip to the solar eclipse in the Apennine Mountains. Some of the practicipants became the core of the CAA. Still in the same year on 17 June the "Vereinigung der Sternfreunde" was founded. One of its objectives was to build a public observatory. The city of Klagenfurt provided the old tower on the Kreuzbergl, which was built in 1895 for the visit of Kaiser Franz Josef I, to transform it in an observatory. Deutsche Vereinigung Des Gas- Und Wasserfaches
The Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches (DVGW) is the German association for gas and water with headquarters in Bonn. Its official English translation is the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water. The DVGW was founded in 1859. Its main task is to create the technical regulations for safety and reliability of gas and water supply. Regulation and standards In addition to the preparation of the national DVGW rules it also imports the DIN, EN and ISO standards. Flugwissenschaftliche Vereinigung Aachen (abbreviation: FVA, en, Flight Research Association Aachen) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1920, which is closely associated to RWTH Aachen University (''Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule – Aachen''), with members consisting of RWTH Aachen students, which have included Felix Kracht. FVA supports and organizes various training courses for flight training, handling of composites and other aircraft materials including steel and aluminum. Projects handled include research into alternative flaps configuration for Airbus aircraft. As a reward for work carried out in the laboratories and workshops at FVA, 300 hours per annum minimum, each student is granted free flying at the FVA gliding club. The Hochkirchliche Vereinigung Augsburgischen Bekenntnisses (''High Church Union of the Augsburg Confession'') is a Lutheran High Church organisation in Germany. It was founded in Berlin in October 1918, inspired by the High Church theses ''Stimuli et Clavi'' (1917) by Heinrich Hansen. Later it was greatly influenced by the Evangelical Catholic theology of professor Friedrich Heiler. The ''Hochkirchliche Vereinigung'' seeks not only to restore, but also to carry through the full catholicity of the Augsburg Confession, which has coherently never happened in the history of the Lutheran Church. It has also been able to make many High Church practices legitimate in the Evangelical Church in Germany and has been involved in the Liturgical Movement. The Internationale Hegel-Vereinigung
The Internationale Hegel-Vereinigung (International Hegel Association) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1962. Its mission is to promote the study of G.W.F. Hegel's philosophy on at least two different fronts: (1) Hegel's system and its parts; and (2) Hegel's philosophical beginnings and history as it leads up to modern theory. To accomplish these tasks the International Hegel Association organizes smaller meetings at regular intervals to discuss different topics of Hegel's philosophy, as well as an International Congress every six years, designing the most comprehensive international participation possible. The International Hegel Association has more than 250 members worldwide.
