We Are The Fury
We Are the Fury is an American rock band. The band was founded in Toledo, Ohio in 1999, as a nu metal band called Hearsay. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Jeremy Lublin, guitarist Chris Hatfield, bassist Alan Hoffar, and drummer Lublin. Shortly after this, the band changed their name to Hearsay TAO and started playing post-hardcore music. They added keyboardist Todd Wehrle and recorded their first album ''Where Vision Ends''. In 2002 they released the EP ''By Land, by Air, by Sleep'', and would go on to change their name once again to The Fury, releasing a second self-titled EP in 2005. The name change was associated with another genre change, as the band adopted a post-punk sound. In the summer of 2005, they signed to One Big Spark Records (a Warner Bros. Records subsidiary) and had to change their name to We Are the Fury for legal reasons. Daryl Palumbo
Daryl Palumbo (born February 10, 1979) is an American musician, originally from Bellmore, New York. He is the frontman of the bands Glassjaw, Head Automatica and Color Film. As a youth he was a member of the Long Island straight edge band ''XbustedX.'' In 1993 he met guitarist Justin Beck, who would become his good friend. Together they formed Glassjaw. Palumbo has Crohn's disease, which has acted as inspiration for much of his musical output, most notably in the lyrical content of Glassjaw's major label debut ''Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence''. His affliction has affected his bands' ability to tour, including the cancellation of a tour with The Used in 2005. ''Infinite Jest'' is an EP by the American indie rock band We Are The Fury. It was released in 2006 as a re-issue of their 2005 EP ''The Fury''. Its name is taken from the David Foster Wallace novel entitled ''Infinite Jest'', the title of which is in turn taken from a line in William Shakespeare's Hamlet. It was the band's second EP and the only one to be released under the New Armada record label. Following the release of this EP, the band moved to One Big Spark and released their debut album, Venus.
