Vendetta (1995 Film)
''Vendetta'' is a 1995 Swedish film directed by Mikael Håfström and starring Stefan Sauk as the Swedish intelligence officer Carl Hamilton and as his adversary Don Tommaso, Ennio Fantastichini. It was released to cinemas in Sweden on 10 February 1995. A television miniseries was filmed at the same time. It aired as six episodes of 50–60 minutes each. Plot Carl Hamilton is assigned to go to Sicily to free two Swedish businessmen who are held captive by a local villain named Don Tommaso. The Don wants a Swedish naval robot system in exchange for his hostages. In the beginning Hamilton acts merely as a negotiator, but when he cannot accept the demands of his counterpart, the situation escalates. Hamilton stands up against Don Tommaso, while abduction and murder becomes the language of negotiation. Jan Mikael Håfström is a Swedish film director and screenwriter. He is best known for the 2003 film ''Evil'', and the movie adaptation of Stephen King's short story '' 1408''. Early life Born in Lund, Sweden, Mikael Håfström studied film at the University of Stockholm and the School of Visual Arts. Career Håfström's 2003 film ''Evil'' was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 76th Academy Awards. Marika Lagercrantz
Marika Karin Louise Lagercrantz (born 12 July 1954) is a Swedish actress. Since 2011, she has been Sweden's cultural attaché at the Berlin embassy in Germany. Lagercrantz was born in Solna. She is the daughter of Olof Lagercrantz, granddaughter of Hans Ruin, sister of David Lagercrantz, and cousin of Lars and Johan Lönnroth. Renato Carpentieri (born 2 April 1943) is an Italian actor, stage director and playwright. Life and career Born in Savignano Irpino, Avellino, Carpentieri studied architecture in Naples, where from 1965 to 1974 he was engaged in the organization and promotion of cultural events with the group Nuova Cultura. Ralf Wolter (26 November 1926 – 14 October 2022) was a German stage and screen actor. Wolter appeared in nearly 220 films and television series in his over 60 years as a character actor. Life and career Wolter began his long career on the Berlin stage and in cabaret during the late 1940s.
