''Velvet City'' is the second studio album by American rap supergroup Latino Velvet. It was released May 23, 2000 on Celeb. Entertainment. The group is composed of Jay Tee, Baby Beesh, Frost and Don Cisco. The album was produced by Bosko, Dee 4, Ferg, Massive and Philly Blunt. It features several guest performers, including: E-40, Levitti, Rappin' 4-Tay, D.B.A. and Candi of The Mary Jane Girls. Don Cisco
Francisco Soto, better known by his stage name Don Cisco (originally Cisco the Frisco Mac), is an American rapper and producer. Biography Don Cisco has been a part of the San Francisco rap scene since the early 1990s. He released his first single, "Audi 5000", on 12" vinyl and cassettes in 1992. His first full-length studio album, ''Til the Wheels Fall Off'', was released in 1998. Both projects were released under his early moniker, Cisco the Frisco Mack. The Mary Jane Girls
The Mary Jane Girls were an American girl group formed in 1983, best known for their songs "In My House", " All Night Long", "Candy Man", and their cover version of " Walk Like a Man". They were protégées of musician Rick James and disbanded in 1987. Joanne "Jojo" McDuffie was the lead singer, the others filling out the group's style and appearance. On the studio recordings, McDuffie was backed by session vocalists rather than the other Mary Jane Girls. The group released two albums in the 1980s, and recorded a third – which was shelved for decades but finally released in 2014, as part of a larger retrospective of Rick James' work. The group was inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2019.
