Suthivelu
Kurumaddali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao (7 August 1947 – 16 September 2012), better known by his stage name Suthi Velu, was an Indian actor and comedian known for his works in Telugu cinema. He has acted in more than 200 films, and won four state Nandi Awards. Early life Suthi Velu's father was a teacher. From an early age he was interested in drama and also developed an interest in acting. He then decided to take up acting seriously. At the age of 7, he had given a stage performance in his town. His father discouraged him and asked him not to show interest in acting. He started his film career with ''Mudda Mandaaram'' (1981), and acted in many of Jandhyala's films, which made him famous. Career Suthivelu's comedy spanned from 1980 to 2000 in Tollywood. He is famous for timing his dialogues and expressions, particularly in director Jandhyala's comedy films. Velu Prabakaran is an Indian filmmaker, cinematographer and actor. He is known for his themes highlighting atheism and revolutionary subjects in his films. Career Velu Prabakaran began as a cinematographer before making his directorial debut with the 1989 horror film ''Nalaya Manithan'', before also directing its sequel ''Adhisaya Manithan'' (1990). He then made two more consecutive action films under R. K. Selvamani's production in '' Asuran'' and '' Rajali'', with both becoming box office failures. He then worked on action films with lead characters, who often featured as a revolutionary, making '' Kadavul'' (1997), ''Sivan'' (1999) and '' Puratchikkaaran'' (2000). Velu Thampi Dalawa
Velayudhan Chempakaraman Thampi of Thalakulam (1765–1809) was the Dalawa or Prime Minister of the Indian kingdom of Travancore between 1802 and 1809 during the reign of Bala Rama Varma Kulasekhara Perumal. He is best known for being one of the earliest individuals to rebel against the British East India Company's authority in India. Early life Velayudhan Thampi was born in a Nair family to Manakkara Kunju Mayatti Pillai and his wife Valliyamma Pillai Thankachi of Thalakkulam. Lucienne Velu-Chapillon, Mrs Odoul (born Lucienne Antoinette Velu; 28 January 1902 – 12 June 1998) was a French athlete and basketball player. She was inducted into the French Basketball Hall of Fame, in 2011. She was born Paris and died in Quincy-sous-Senart. Biography Athletics Velu held the world record in the discus throw in September 1924 at Paris with a throw of 30.225 m, and she was 14 times champion of France for 7 national records (her last record stood for 22 years). Vedha Muthu Mukandar (died 6 December 1855), (also known as Velu Muthu Mukandar), was the first Protestant Christian in the ''Megnanapuram Circle''. He was a Hindu who converted to Christianity through the influence of missionary, the Rev. C. T. E. Rhenius. Vedha Muthu is buried at St Stephen's Church, Jebagnanapuram, Solaikudiyiruppu. Vedha Muthu Mukandar was born into the Nadar caste in Solaikudiriruppu, an oasis village in the Kudhremozhi Theri, part of the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu state, and close to Korkai, the site of the capital of the ancient Pandyan Kingdom. ''Aruva Velu'' is a 1996 Tamil language action drama film directed by P. S. Bharathi Kannan. The film stars Nassar and Urvashi. The film, produced by K. V. Gunasekaran, had musical score by Adithyan and was released on 15 January 1996 to negative reviews. Plot The film begins with Velu (Nassar) being sentenced to the death penalty.
