''Velociraptor!'' is the fourth studio album by English rock band Kasabian, released on 16 September 2011. The album has been described as expanding upon the neo-psychedelic feel of their previous album ''West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'' with a stronger emphasis on experimental song structures and instrumentation. It was released to critical acclaim and became their third UK number-one album, its lead single " Days Are Forgotten", first released in Belgium on 12 August, and in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2011 - debuted at number 28 on the UK Singles Chart. Their song was featured in EA Sports game, ''FIFA 12'' with "Switchblade Smiles". Miscellany "Switchblade Smiles" was made available as a free download to anybody who pre-ordered the album from the band's official website store from 7 June 2011. Kasabian
Kasabian ( ) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and occasional vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. Meighan left the band in July 2020, with Pizzorno stepping up as full-time lead vocalist. In 2010 and 2014, Kasabian won the Q Awards for "Best Act in the World Today", while they were also named "Best Live Act" at the 2014 Q Awards and the 2007 and 2018 NME Awards. The band's music is often described as "indie rock", but Pizzorno has said he "hates indie bands" and does not feel Kasabian fit into that category. Re-Wired
"Re-Wired" is the second single from Kasabian's fourth album, ''Velociraptor!''. First released digitally, the single has also been released as a limited 10 inch vinyl on 20 November 2011. Only 1,000 copies were made and were quickly sold out in 3 days through pre-orders. A part of the song was used at half time in live Premier League football matches on Sky Sports during the 2011/2012 season, when a small round up of incidents during the match was played before a commercial break. Music video The band have released a video for the song, in which they drive various cars, being chased by a black 4x4. At the end they are caught and given a suitcase that glows as gold when opened and they remain speechless. Like the promo video for "Vlad The Impaler", this one also has a more humorous nature. "Days Are Forgotten" is a song by British rock band Kasabian. The song serves as the lead single of the band's fourth studio album, ''Velociraptor!''. The song was first released in Belgium on 12 August, and was later released in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2011 - where it debuted at number 28 on the UK Singles Chart. Music video The black-and-white video for the song features the band in an empty room playing animated instruments, drawn with white crayon pencil; singer Tom Meighan sings into a pencil-drawn microphone with a pencil-drawn cable. Goodbye Kiss
"Goodbye Kiss" is the third single of Kasabian's from their fourth studio album, ''Velociraptor!'' (2011). It was released first as a music video and then as a single A-side 10" vinyl on 20 February 2012. It is available as a digital download. On 27 November 2011, Kasabian performed "Goodbye Kiss" during the BBC's Formula 1 and performed on 2011 closing season montage and on BBC's ''The Graham Norton Show''. Music video Regarding the video release, the band have left the following message along on their official website: "Shot in no-nonsense, classic black and white, it captures the band live on stage during their massive gigs at London's O2.". Daniel M. Nakamura better known by his stage name Dan the Automator, is an American record producer from San Francisco, California. He is the founder of the publishing company Sharkman Music and the record label 75 Ark. Early life Nakamura was born in San Francisco, California on 20 December 1968. His parents spent time in Internment of Japanese Americans, Japanese internment camps as children. Sergio Lorenzo "Serge" Pizzorno (born 15 December 1980) is a British guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known for his work with the rock band Kasabian. He is Kasabian's primary songwriter since the departure of co-composer Christopher Karloff in 2006, and also the band's co-lead singer, and later being the sole lead singer following the 2020 sacking of Tom Meighan. He is also a member of Loose Tapestries alongside Noel Fielding and fellow Kasabian member Tim Carter, a group put together to produce music for Fielding's TV series ''Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy''. Biography Pizzorno's paternal grandfather emigrated from Genoa, Italy, to England and settled in Leicester.
