Raised Fist
The raised fist, or the clenched fist, is a long-standing image of mixed meaning, often a symbol of political solidarity. It is also a common symbol of communism, socialism, and other revolutionary social movements. It can also represent a salute to express unity, strength, or resistance. History The origin of the raised fist as either a symbol or gesture is unclear. Its use in trade unionism, anarchism, and the labor movement had begun by the 1910s. William "Big Bill" Haywood, a founding member of the Industrial Workers of the World, used the metaphor of a fist as something greater than the sum of its parts during a speech at the 1913 Paterson silk strike. Journalist and socialist activist John Reed described hearing a similar description from a participant in the strike. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Burning Heart Records
Burning Heart Records is an independent record label formed in 1993 in Fagersta, Sweden, and currently based in Örebro. It has a close affiliation with Californian label Epitaph Records, who own the rights to distribute Burning Heart's output in North America. It also started a German office in Berlin in the end of 2003. Burning Heart has proven very successful in launching European (especially Swedish) bands to a global audience. Daniel Bergstrand
Daniel Bergstrand is a Swedish record producer, most notable for his work with bands such as In Flames, Meshuggah, Soilwork, Dimmu Borgir, and Behemoth. He is the owner of the Dugout Productions studio, which is based in Uppsala, Sweden. His work with In Flames was awarded with Grammi Awards on the albums ''Come Clarity'' and '' Soundtrack to Your Escape''. Bergstrand is, along with Tomas Haake of Meshuggah, the producer of the drum sample packs “Drumkit from Hell”, "The Metal Foundry" and "Metalheads!" for Toontrack's Superior Drummer and EZDrummer.
