Vega Tamotia
Vega Tamotia (born 7 May 1985 in Chhattisgarh, India) is an Indian actress and producer, who has appeared in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu films. She is probably best known for her performances as Saroja in the film of the same name, and Sobikannu in ''Pasanga''. Vega, with the motive of acting in films, earlier had been acting for Broadway Drama Troupe and gained experience in theatre arts. Early life Vega Tamotia was born on 7 May 1985 in Chhattisgarh, but was brought up in Sydney, Australia. She completed her education in Economics from the University of New South Wales and then attended Indian Institute of Management Bangalore as part of an exchange programme. ''Chittagong'' is a 2012 Indian historical war drama film directed by Bedabrata Pain. It stars Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role and is based upon events of British India's Chittagong Uprising. Pritilata Waddedar (5 May 1911 – 24 September 1932) was an Indian revolutionary nationalist from the Indian subcontinent who was influential in the Indian independence movement. After completing her education in Chittagong and Dhaka, she attended Bethune College in Kolkata. She graduated in philosophy with distinction and became a school teacher. She is praised as "Bengal's first woman martyr". Pritilata joined a revolutionary group headed by Surya Sen. She is known for leading fifteen revolutionaries in the 1932 armed attack on the Pahartali European Club, during which one person was killed and eleven injured. The revolutionaries torched the club and were later caught by the colonial police. To escape arrest, Pritilata committed suicide by cyanide. The Chittagong armoury raid, also known as the Chittagong uprising, was an attempt on 18 April 1930 to raid the armoury of police and auxiliary forces from the Chittagong armoury in the Bengal Presidency of British India (now in Bangladesh) by armed Indian independence fighters led by Surya Sen.
