Veeranna (film)
''Veeranna'' is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by B. Kalanithi. The film stars Napoleon, Anamika, Preethi Varma, and Sheela. The film, written by P. Kalaimani, had musical score by Soundaryan and was released on 18 December 2005. Plot Mariappan (Napoleon) is the faithful servant of Rajeshwari (Sheela), whereas Rajeshwari spreads terror among the villagers. Mariappan's son Veeranna (Napoleon), a military officer, is back to his village and he tries to be quieter than before. His cousin Vennila is deeply in love with him. One day, children drunk the river's water and they fell ill because of a ladder factory which threw wastewater in the river. As a responsible citizen, Veeranna files a complaint against the owner of the company Rajeshwari. In addition to this, Veeranna saves Rajeshwari's daughter Aishwarya (Preethi Varma), who was naked, from drowning. Napoleon (actor)
Kumaresan Duraisamy (born 2 December 1963), known professionally by his stage name Napoleon, is an Indian actor, politician and entrepreneur. He was the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's cabinet. He has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and English movies. Early life He graduated from St. Joseph's College, Trichy. Career Politics After college, he moved to Trichy and became enthused by the ideologies of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. Singamuthu
Singamuthu (born 8 December 1958) is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films as a comedian. Career Singamuthu has primarily appeared in comedy roles in films as a supporting actor debuting in ''Neram Nalla Irukku'' (1987). He started developing his career in the acting sector by doing small comedy roles in cinemas. He often shared screen space with popular comedian Vadivelu, and the duo has given many hilarious comedy scenes to Tamil movies. Singamuthu's son, Vaasan Karthik, made his debut as an actor through ''Maa Madurai'' (2007), but failed to make a career in the film industry. Manikka Vinayagam
Manikka Vinayagam (10 December 1943 – 26 December 2021) was an Indian playback singer and actor. He sang for South Indian language films and acted in several Tamil films as a character artist. He was the son of the dancer Vazhuvoor B. Ramiah Pillai. His uncle and music guru was the singer C. S. Jayaraman. Biography Vinayagam was born on 10 December 1943 in Mayiladuthurai in the then Madras Presidency. His father Vazhuvoor B. Ramiah Pillai was a Bharatanatyam dancer while his uncle C. S. Jayaraman was a singer, music director, and actor in the Tamil film industry. He was introduced to Carnatic and Hindustani music by his uncle. Anuradha Sriram (born 9 July 1970) is an Indian carnatic and playback singer and child actress who hails from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer. A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. Halwa Vasu
Vasu, popularly known as Halwa Vasu, (died 17 August 2017) was a comedian in the Tamil film industry in India. He worked in around 900 films. Career Vasu who hailed from Madurai district, came to Chennai to work in cinemas after his graduation. Vasu worked as an assistant to director-actor Manivannan, he carved a niche for himself in comedy films and has also acted alongside the likes of Vadivelu. He was given the name "Halwa Vasu" after the film ''Amaidhi Padai'' (1994), in which he brings halwa which is adulterated with abin, a drug, by the antagonist in the movie who uses it to rape an innocent girl.
