''Veeram'' () is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Siva and produced by Vijaya Productions. The film stars Ajith Kumar and Tamannaah, with a supporting cast including Vidharth, Bala, Santhanam, Nassar, Pradeep Rawat and Atul Kulkarni. Pre-production works had been ongoing since December 2011, with shooting starting in April 2013. The film was released on 10 January 2014. The film received positive reviews from critics and became successful at box-office. The film was remade in Telugu as ''Katamarayudu'' (2017), and in Kannada as '' Odeya''. Plot Vinayagam is a brave man living in the village of Oddaanchatram, who lives with his four brothers Murughan, Shanmugham, Kumaaran and Shenthil. They are often caught in fights. ''Veeram'' ( en, Valour) is a 2016 Indian epic historical drama film written and directed by Jayaraj. It is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play, ''Macbeth'', and is the fifth installment in Jayaraj's Navarasa series. The film, which also takes inspirations from the Vadakkan Pattukal (Northern Ballads) of North Malabar region in Kerala tells the story of Chandu Chekavar (Kunal Kapoor), an infamous warrior in the 13th century North Malabar. ''Veeram'' is simultaneously made in Malayalam, Hindi, and in English with the same title. Principal photography commenced on 5 January 2016 in Thiruvananthapuram, where it was mostly shot, with other locations being Agra and Aurangabad. The film premiered at the BRICS Film Festival on 2 September 2016 in New Delhi, and was released on 24 February 2017. ''Veeram'' () is a 2023 Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed by Khadar Kumar S and produced by Shashidhar K M under Shashidhar Studios. It stars Prajwal Devraj, Rachita Ram, Srinagar Kitty, Chirag Jani and Shishya Deepak. ''Veeram'' was released theatrically on 7 April 2023 and received negative reviews from critics, where it bombed at the box office. Plot Veeru and Narasimha are brothers and polar opposites in nature who lives a normal life with their sister Saraswathi and brother-in-law Sadashiva. One night, Sadashiva gets embroiled in the death of a goon named Deva due to the latter eliminating his chances in the market politics. Veeru and Narasimha takes the blame and are arrested, where Saraswathi also berates them. Deva's arch rival and Narasimha's mentor Govinda gets them released from custody, but Deva's son Jeda finishes Narasimha. Learning this, Veeru sets out to avenge Narasimha's death.
