Vechornytsi ( uk, вечорниці, from '' вечір'' "evening") are Ukrainian traditional gatherings with music, songs, jokes and rituals. ''Vechornytsi'' traditionally began in late September after the seasonal agricultural work was over. Young people from villages gathered in the evenings for entertainment.
