''Vaudhey Mee'' () is Maldivian romantic drama television series co-written and directed by Abdul Faththaah. It stars Aishath Rishmy, Mohamed Manik, Aminath Ameela, Ahmed Nimal, Ahmed Saeed and Zeenath Abbas in main roles. The pilot episode of the series was released on 3 August 2013. Film production began in late 2012. The first eight episodes of the series was written by director Abdul Faththaah, who later roped in screenwriter Mahdi Ahmed to complete the remaining five episodes. Abdul Faththaah
Abdul Faththaah Abdul Gayyoom (born 6 December 1971), commonly known as Abdul Faththaah is a Maldivian film director, producer, editor, screenwriter and choreographer. One of the most successful filmmakers in Maldivian Cinema, Faththaah is the recipient of a number of awards, including four Gaumee Film Awards, and two Maldives Film Awards. In 2004, Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. He is known for his romantically stylish film-making. Mahdi Ahmed
Mahdi Ahmed (born 17 October 1971) is a Maldivian screenwriter, producer and film director. He made his career debut with critically acclaimed film '' Amaanaaiy'' (1998), which fetched him several awards including a Gaumee Film Award for Best Director and Best Screenplay. From 1999 to 2002, he mainly worked as a director and screen writer in the Inter Office Teledrama Competition, which resulted him receiving six awards for the five films submitted. Afterwards, he was mainly recognized for his collaboration with Abdul Faththaah for the romantic disaster film, '' Hureemey Inthizaarugaa'' (2005) and fifty episodes' television series ''Hinithun Velaashey Kalaa'' (2006). Aishath Rishmy
Aishath Rishmy Rameez (born 15 November 1985) is a Maldivian actress film producer and director. Early life Born in Malé, Maldives, Rishmy is the daughter of actor Aminath Rasheedha. She is the elder sister of actress Mariyam Azza. They reside in Vilingili since the early days when the island was made a satellite town of Male. Rishmy completed her secondary education from Aminiya School and accomplished her higher education from Centre for Higher Secondary Education. Mohamed Manik (15 October 1969) is a Maldivian film actor and director. Career 2002–10: Critical acclaim and breakthrough Manik rose to widespread prominence in the television industry and was applauded for his performance in a dual role, Ahmed Ayaz and Mohamed Adheel, in the Abdul Faththaah-directed critically acclaimed television series, '' Thiyey Mihithuge Vindhakee'' (2003) which was considered as one of the best series production in television industry. Aminath Ameela (born 12 December 1985) is a Maldivian film actress. Career Ameela made her career debut with the erotic short film ''Kiss Jazbaath'' alongside Ali Seezan and Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi. The film was subject to several criticism for its bold display of erotic scenes. Ahmed Nimal is a Maldivian actor, director, editor, writer and producer. Early life Prior to acting in films, Nimal worked at Maldives Meteorological Service office. His interest in films and acting grew due to the influence of his colleagues including Easa Shareef and other friends who actively take part in theatre plays. Career Nimal made his career debut with ''Nufoozu'' (1984), an initiation by Shareef and his colleagues. Ahmed Saeed is a Maldivian film actor and director. Career 1997–2010: Debut and early releases On 13 June 1997, Saeed made his screen debut in a video single alongside Hassan Afeef and Mariyam Nisha. Afterwards, he played a role in Yoosuf Rafeeu's ''Dhiriulhumakee Mieebaa?''. Mohamed Rasheed (actor)
Mohamed Rasheed (2 April 1964), professionally known as Dharaa Rasheed, is a Maldivian film actor, cinematographer, producer and director. Early life At the age of twelve, Rasheed along with his friends, Sodhiq and Kashima Ahmed Shakir, used to spend most of their times at his place, singing, playing table tennis and undertake Urdu classes. After completing his studies at Majeediyya School, Rasheed witnessed several cameras being carried to the recently developed broadcasting company, Television Maldives and decided to be a cameraman. Mariyam Shahuza is a Maldivian former film actress. Career In 2002, Shahuza appeared in a small role as a doctor in Amjad Ibrahim-directed film ''Kahvalhah Dhaandhen'' (2002).
