Vattaparai Falls
Vattaparai Falls are located at: , elevation , in the Keeriparai reserve forest near Bhoothapandi village (Pin:629852) (Met Sta #10145) on the Pazhayar River in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu state, South India. It is N of Nagercoil) and NW of Kanyakumari. This area is proposed to be a Wildlife Sanctuary. There are a few small waterfalls in this area - the nicer ones being Vattaparai Falls and Kalikesam falls. Keeriparai is a hillock area in Kanniyakumari district of Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India. It is located at an altitude of about 267 m above the mean sea level with the geographical coordinates of (i.e., 8.393100°N, 77.409900°E). Boothapandi, Vadasery, Nagercoil and Kulasekaram are some of the important neighbourhoods of Keeriparai. (Government-run) Arasu Rubber Corporation has a rubber factory in Keeriparai. Nagercoil, also spelt as Nagarkovil ("Temple of the Nāgas", or Nagaraja-Temple), is a city and the administrative headquarters of Kanyakumari District in Tamil Nadu state, India.
