Vache Hovsepyan
Vache Artashesi Hovsepyan ( hy, Վաչե Արտաշեսի Հովսեփյան, sometimes credited as Vatche Hovsepian; 17 September 1925 – 1 December 1978) was an Armenian duduk player and renowned popular artist. He graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory in the name of Romanos Melikyan in 1951. He had started performing as a popular musician on Yerevan radio in 1945 in Armenian popular and folk music. He has composed music for songs like «Էստոնական Երգ» (lyrics by Vahan Terian), «Իրիկնաժամին» (lyrics by Silva Kaputikyan) and «Երեքնուկ» (lyrics by Paruyr Sevak) and others. He also toured in live performances in Armenia, the Soviet Union and worldwide. With Andranik Askarian, he performed the duduk parts on "The Feeling Begins", the opening track of Peter Gabriel's '' Passion'', the soundtrack album from Martin Scorsese's film '' The Last Temptation of Christ''. A warren is a network of wild rodent or lagomorph, typically rabbit burrows. Domestic warrens are artificial, enclosed establishment of animal husbandry dedicated to the raising of rabbits for meat and fur. The term evolved from the medieval Anglo-Norman concept of free warren, which had been, essentially, the equivalent of a hunting license for a given woodland. Architecture of the domestic warren The cunicularia of the monasteries may have more closely resembled hutches or pens, than the open enclosures with specialized structures which the domestic warren eventually became. Such an enclosure or ''close'' was called a ''cony-garth'', or sometimes ''conegar'', ''coneygree'' or "bury" (from "burrow"). Ernest Lewis "Tex" Vache (November 17, 1888 – June 11, 1953) was an American professional baseball player. Biography Vache was born November 17, 1888, in Santa Monica, California. It took him until the age of 36 to reach the Major Leagues. On April 16, , Vache made his Major League debut for the Boston Red Sox. Throughout the year, Vache played 110 games. Jacques Vaché Jacques Vaché (7 September 1895 – 6 January 1919) was a friend of André Breton, the founder of surrealism. Vaché was one of the chief inspirations behind the Surrealist movement. Claude Charles Vaché (August 4, 1926 – November 1, 2009) was an American prelate of The Episcopal Church, who served as the seventh Bishop of Southern Virginia. Early life and education Born in New Bern, North Carolina, Vaché was the son of the Reverend Jean Andrew Vaché, an Episcopal priest and his wife Edith Fitzwilson. He served in the U.S. Navy as World War II ended, and then received a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa society. He graduated from the Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois in 1952 with a Master of Divinity. Ministry Bishop George P. Gunn of Southern Virginia ordained Vaché deacon on June 11, 1952, in Johns Memorial Church in Farmville, Virginia. Allan Vaché (born December 16, 1953) is an American jazz clarinetist, son of the jazz bassist and journalist Warren Vaché Sr. and brother of jazz cornetist Warren Vaché Jr. Raised in Rahway, New Jersey, Vaché graduated from Rahway High School in 1971. Vaché played with the Jim Cullum Jazz Band of San Antonio, Texas, for seventeen years and was a regular on the '' Riverwalk – Live from the Landing'' radio show on Public Radio International, which featured the Cullum band. He performed with Cullum on ''A Prairie Home Companion'' with Garrison Keillor. He is a featured performer on Gershwin's "Porgy & Bess" with the Cullum band, released on CBS Masterworks. Vache Vazgeni Gabrielyan (Armenian: Վաչե Վազգենի Գաբրիելյան; born November 24, 1968) is the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at the American University of Armenia. Previously, he served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and the Minister for International Economic Integration and Reforms from 2014-2018. Vache Gabrielyan started his career in public service in 1990 as a staff member in the Armenian Parliament. After completion of his studies in the United States, he held various positions in the Central Bank of Armenia, where from 2008 to 2010 he acted as the Vice-Governor.
