Vasyl Mykhailov
Vasyl Mykhailov ( uk, Василь Михайлов, born 24 June 1995) is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the 79kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. He also won one of the bronze medals in the 79 kg event at the 2020 European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy. He represented Ukraine at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Career In 2016, he won the silver medal in the men's 70 kg event at the World University Wrestling Championships held in Çorum, Turkey. A year later, he competed in the men's freestyle 74 kg event at the 2017 World Wrestling Championships held in Paris, France. In the same year, he won one of the bronze medals in the men's 74 kg event at the 2017 U23 World Wrestling Championships held in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Tarutyne
Tarutyne ( uk, Тарутине; bg, Тарутино, ; ro, Tarutino, Ancecrac; ) is an urban-type settlement in southwestern Ukraine. It is the seat of Bolhrad Raion (raion, district) of Odesa Oblast and is in the historical region of Budjak in southern Bessarabia. Tarutyne hosts the administration of Tarutyne settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Until 18 July 2020, Tarutyne was the administration center of Tarutyne Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Odesa Oblast to seven. Dan Kolov
Doncho Kolev Danev ( bg, Дончо Колев Данев) (26 December 1892 – 27 March 1940), better known by the ring name Dan Kolov ( bg, Дан Колов), was a Bulgarian professional wrestler and mixed martial artist born in Sennik, Bulgaria who was the first European freestyle wrestling champion from Bulgaria. He also won the European gold in 1936 in the championship in Paris, which was the second distinction for Bulgaria after the world title of Nikola Petrov ( Greco-Roman wrestling) from 1900. He was inducted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 2020. Early years Doncho Kolev Danev was born on 27 December 1892 in the village of Sennik, Sevlievo municipality. Beach Wrestling At The 2019 World Beach Games
Beach wrestling at the 2019 World Beach Games in Doha, Qatar was held on 14 and 15 October 2019. The competitions were held on Katara Beach. In February 2021, the gold medal won by Pouya Rahmani of Iran (men's +90 kg) and the silver medal won by Mercy Genesis of Nigeria (women's 50 kg) were forfeited due to anti-doping rule violations. The ANOC World Beach Games, known simply as the ''World Beach Games'', is an international multi-sport event organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). Beach wrestling is a type of wrestling that has been officially held since 2005. History First time in 2004, during the International United Wrestling Federation (FILA), beach wrestling was registered as a type of wrestling. Beach wrestling is a sport type in which both men and women can participate. Athletes compete in an inner sand-filled circle with a diameter of 7 meters. European Juniors Wrestling Championships
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling (subsequently discontinued and from 1983 contested separately).
