Vasvár District
Vasvár ( hu, Vasvári járás) is a district in southern part of Vas County. ''Vasvár'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Western Transdanubia, Western Transdanubia Statistical Region. Geography Vasvár District borders with Sárvár District to the northeast, Zalaszentgrót District ''(Zala County)'' to the southeast, Zalaegerszeg District ''(Zala County)'' to the south, Körmend District to the west, Szombathely District to the northwest. The number of the inhabited places in Vasvár District is 23. Municipalities The district has 1 List of cities and towns of Hungary, town and 22 villages. Districts of Hungary are the second-level divisions of Hungary after counties. They replaced the 175 subregions of Hungary in 2013. Altogether, there are 174 districts in the 19 counties, and there are 23 districts in Budapest.
