Vashkivtsi (village)
Vashkivtsi ( uk, Вашківці; ro, Vășcăuți) is a village in Dnistrovskyi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Vashkivtsi rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Until 18 July 2020, Vashkivtsi belonged to Sokyriany Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Chernivtsi Oblast to three. The area of Sokyriany Raion was merged into Dnistrovskyi Raion. Demographics According to the 1989 census, the population of Vashkivtsi was 3,680 people, of whom 1,718 were men and 1,962 women. Sokyriany Raion
Sokyriany Raion ( uk, Сокирянський район) was an administrative raion (district) in the southern part of Chernivtsi Oblast in western Ukraine, on the Romanian border. It was part of the historical region of Bessarabia. The region had an area of and centers on the city of Sokyriany. Belarusian Language
Belarusian ( be, беларуская мова, biełaruskaja mova, link=no, ) is an East Slavic language. It is the native language of many Belarusians and one of the two official state languages in Belarus. Russian Language In Ukraine
Russian is the most common first language in the Donbas and Crimea regions of Ukraine and the city of Kharkiv, and the predominant language in large cities in the eastern and southern portions of the country. Moldovan (Romanian alphabet, Latin alphabet: ''limba moldovenească''; Moldovan Cyrillic alphabet: лимба молдовеняскэ), also known historically as Moldavian, is one of the two local names of the Romanian language in Moldova. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada'').
