Varenna-Esino-Perledo Station
Varenna-Esino-Perledo is a railway station at Perledo, on the Tirano–Lecco railway in Lombardy, in northern Italy. As the name implies, it also serves Esino Lario (12km away) and Varenna. Originally called Varenna, it changed its name to Varenna-Esino in 1935.Order of FS service n. 65, 1935 The passenger building, on the west side of the line, has two storeys in a classic style, embellished by terracotta decorations typical of the line. The station has two tracks for passenger service. In the past, there was a small freight yard, whose warehouse still exists, and is used as a shop. Perledo (Comasco, Lecchese: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about north of Milan and about northwest of Lecco. Tirano–Lecco Railway
The Tirano–Lecco railway is an electrified railway line in Lombardy, Italy. The first section of the line, between Sondrio and Colico, was opened in 1885. It was completed in 1892–1894 with the section from Colico to Lecco, where it was connected with the rest of the Italian network. It is single track other than at main stations which have passing loops. The section from Tirano to Sondrio had a different origin, being opened in 1902 as a private railway by the Società Anonima per le Ferrovie dell'Alta Valtellina (FAV). Esino Lario
Esino Lario (; Lecchese: ; locally ) is a municipality (''comune'') of the Province of Lecco in the Italian region of Lombardy. It is about north of Milan, northwest of Lecco, and about from the eastern shore of Lake Como. The area around Esino Lario is surrounded by Alpine mountains, where the karst landscape has produced sink-holes and caves, including the "Icebox of Moncodeno". Varenna
Varenna (Comasco, Lecchese: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) on Lake Como in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about north of Milan and about northwest of Lecco. Varenna was founded by local fishermen in 769, and was later allied with the commune of Milan. In 1126 it was destroyed by the rival commune of Como, and later received the refugees from the Isola Comacina, who had met the same fate (1169). Lecco
Lecco (, , ; lmo, label=Lecchese, Lècch ) is a city of 48,131 inhabitants in Lombardy, northern Italy, north of Milan. It lies at the end of the south-eastern branch of Lake Como (the branch is named ''Branch of Lecco'' / ''Ramo di Lecco''). The Bergamo Alps rise to the north and east, cut through by the Valsassina of which Lecco marks the southern end. Colico ( Comasque: or ; la, Colicum) is a city in the province of Lecco, Lombardy, Italy. It is situated on the northern arm of Lake Como, where the river Adda enters the lake. Colico is the most important city in the northern part of Lake Como, which is often identified as its Colico branch. RegioExpress (RE) is a fast regional train service in Switzerland, run by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) or other railway companies (such as TILO, BLS, tpf, transN, THURBO or RhB).
