Varduva
Varduva is a river in northwestern Lithuania. Its length is . It is a left tributary of Venta (river), Venta; their confluence is on the Lithuania–Latvia border. Its origins and upper reaches are located within the Žemaitija National Park. Its largest tributary is Sruoja. Larger settlements situated near Varduva include Žemaičių Kalvarija, Seda, Lithuania, Seda, Renavas, Ukrinai. Varduva has five small hydroelectric power plants: Kulšėnai, Ukrinai, Vadagiai, Juodeikiai, Renavas. The largest of these plants in Juodeikiai produced 2.99 GWh of electricity in 2010. Žemaičių Kalvarija
Žemaičių Kalvarija ( Samogitian: ''Žemaitiu Kalvarėjė'', pl, Kalwaria Żmudzka, en, Samogitian Calvary) is a small town in Plungė district municipality, Lithuania. It is known as a major site for Catholic pilgrimage. Every July the town hosts a large Church festival, known as the Great Žemaičių Kalvarija Festival. It attracts many tourists from all over Lithuania and abroad. It is one of the few "must visit" locations for most Roman Catholics of Lithuania. The main church of the town boasts a sculpture of crucified Jesus and picture of St. Maria, which was brought to this town in middle of 17th century from Rome. The Venta (Latvian pronunciation , Lithuanian , , , Livonian ''Vǟnta joug'') is a river in north-western Lithuania and western Latvia. Its source is near Kuršėnai in the Lithuanian Šiauliai County. It flows into the Baltic Sea at Ventspils in Latvia. On the territory of Lithuania along the Venta are cities Užventis, Kuršėnai, Venta, Viekšniai and Mažeikiai. Seda, Lithuania
Seda () is a city in Mažeikiai district municipality, Lithuania. It is south-west of Mažeikiai on the Varduva River. There are two churches in the town. History According to Kazimieras Būga, the name of Seda is of hydronymic origin and was derived from the name of nearby Lake Seda also known as Sedula. Seda was first mentioned in written sources in the 13th century. From the 15th century Seda was famous as a busy trade settlement with Livonia. The town of Seda was established in 1500 and in 1508 the parish was founded. In the middle of 17th century, Seda suffered great losses during the Second Northern War, but recovered in the 18th century. In 1770, ciwun Vaclovas Bartoškevičius and his wife Elžbieta Juškaitėthe sponsored construction of the Catholic Church of the Assumption. Renavas ( Samogitian: ''Rėnavs'', pl, Renowo) is a village in Mažeikiai District Municipality, Lithuania. It is located on the left bank of Varduva river, nearby the road Židikai-Seda.
