FK Vardar () is a professional Association football, football club based in Skopje, North Macedonia, which competes in the Macedonian First Football League, Macedonian First League. National Arena Toše Proeski () is a sports stadium in Skopje, North Macedonia. It is currently used mostly for Association football, football matches, but also for concerts or athletics. 1985–86 Yugoslav First League
The 1985–86 Yugoslav First League season was marked by scandal and controversy due to allegedly wide match-fixing during the last week of fixtures. Summary After the last week was played, FK Partizan was crowned champion due to better goal difference than second-placed Red Star Belgrade. However, after weeks of public pressure and huge public outcry, on 20 June 1986, the Yugoslav FA presidency headed by Slavko Šajber decided to impose extraordinary measures that included the following: *voiding the already played week 34 matches of the 1985–86 season and ordering a replay of every single one (nine fixtures in total) *docking 6 points from each of the 12 clubs suspected of being involved in match-fixing, meaning they would start the following league season with -6 points Each club agreed to play the replay except for Partizan. Andon Dončevski
Andon Dončevski (; born 19 November 1935) is a former Yugoslav football coach and former player. Club career Born in Kavadarci,"50. godina fudbala vo Makedonija", page 66 Kingdom of Yugoslavia, he played with FK Vardar youth team in 1952. He was incorporated into the first team of Vardar, becoming their main goal scorer in the Yugoslav First League and Second League amassing a record 217 goals. Among the awards for his efficiency and scoring was an invitation from Red Star Belgrade to play on their team during their tour in South America. He later coached Vardar from 1985 to 1988. The 1960–61 Yugoslav Cup was the 14th season of the top football knockout competition in SFR Yugoslavia, the Yugoslav Cup (), also known as the "Marshal Tito Cup" (''Kup Maršala Tita''), since its establishment in 1947. Calendar The Yugoslav Cup was a tournament for which clubs from all tiers of the football pyramid were eligible to enter. 1963 Skopje Earthquake
The 1963 Skopje earthquake () was a 6.1 moment magnitude earthquake which occurred in Skopje, SR Macedonia (present-day North Macedonia), then part of the SFR Yugoslavia, on July 26, 1963, which killed over 1,070 people, injured between 3,000 and 4,000 and left more than 200,000 people homeless.
