The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) is the main governing body of all association football, football in Vanuatu. It is an association of Vanuatu Football team, football clubs, and it organises national competitions and international matches for the Vanuatu national football team, Vanuatu National Football Team. The men's national team is ranked 164th in the FIFA Men's World Ranking, FIFA World Rankings (Men). Oceania Football Confederation
The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is one of the six continental confederations of international association football. The OFC has 13 members, 11 of which are full members and two which are associate members not affiliated with FIFA. It promotes the game in Oceania and allows the List of men's national association football teams#OFC (Oceania), member nations to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. OFC is predominantly made up of island nations where association football is not the most popular sport, with low GDP and low population meaning very little money is generated by the OFC nations. Port Vila (french: Port-Vila), or simply Vila (; french: Vila; bi, Vila ), is the capital and largest city of Vanuatu. It is located on the island of Efate. Vanuatu National Football Team
The Vanuatu national football team is the national team of Vanuatu and is controlled by the Vanuatu Football Federation. History It was known as the New Hebrides national football team until the New Hebrides became Republic of Vanuatu in 1980. It finished fourth in the OFC Nations Cup in 1973, 2000, and 2002. The Intercontinental Cup (India) (known as the Hero Intercontinental Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a 4-team association football tournament organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). It was launched in 2017, as a replacement for Nehru Cup with the first edition held as the 2017 Hero Tri-Nation Series. The tournament was organized by the AIFF as part of the senior men team's preparation for the third round of 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification matches and for the Asian Cup itself. The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. OFC Nations Cup
The OFC Nations Cup is an international association football tournament held among the OFC member nations. It was held every two years from 1996 to 2004; before 1996 there were two other tournaments held at irregular intervals, under the name Oceania Nations Cup. No competition was held in 2006, but in the 2008 edition, which also acted as a qualification tournament for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and for a play-off for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the New Zealand national football team emerged as winners.
