All characters were introduced by the soap's executive producer, Steve Frost. Ed Roberts made his debut appearance in February, followed by Declan Macey's half-sister, Megan shortly after, her son Robbie first appeared in May, while Kerry Wyatt arrived in July. ''Emmerdale'' (known as ''Emmerdale Farm'' until 1989) is a British television soap opera that is broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV. The show is set in Emmerdale (known as Beckindale until 1994), a List of fictional towns and villages, fictional village in the Yorkshire Dales. Created by Kevin Laffan, ''Emmerdale Farm'' was first broadcast on 16 October 1972. Interior scenes have been filmed at the Leeds Studios since its inception. Exterior scenes were first filmed in Arncliffe, North Yorkshire, Arncliffe in Littondale, and the series may have taken its name from Amerdale, an ancient name of Littondale. All characters were introduced by the soap's executive producer, Steve Frost. Flynn Buchanan Flynn Buchanan, played by Ryan Prescott, made his first on-screen appearance on 31 January 2011. Flynn was introduced as a love interest for Aaron Livesy ( Danny Miller). The character and casting were announced in January 2011. Marco "Marc" Silcock (born 4 November 1988) is an English former actor, best known for his portrayal of Jackson Walsh in the British soap opera ''Emmerdale''. Career Silcock studied acting at City College Manchester and has a Diploma in Performing Arts. Silcock joined the cast of ''Emmerdale'' as Josh Hope in 2001. Jackson Walsh is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Marc Silcock. He made his first on-screen appearance on 22 March 2010. Aaron Dingle (also Livesy) is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Emmerdale'', played by Danny Miller.
