Vanessa Filho (born 1980) is a French film director and screenwriter. Early life Filho was born in 1980. Her father was a commercial director and her mother was a literature teacher. She became fascinated with cinema at the age of 13 when she watched Krzysztof Kieślowski's '' Three Colours: Blue'' (1993). Career In 2001, Filho directed her first medium-length film, . She later directed several music videos and launched her own musical career as part of the female duo Smoking Smoking. Her feature directorial debut, '' Angel Face'', starring Marion Cotillard, premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Camerimage () is a festival dedicated to the celebration of cinematography and recognition of its creators, cinematographers. The first seven events (1993–1999) were held in Toruń, Poland. The next ten events (2000–2009) were held in Łódź.
