Vandiko Gultom
Vandiko Gultom (born 16 February 1992) is an Indonesian Bataknese politician who was elected as the Regent of Samosir in the 2020 Samosir regental election. Early life and education Vandiko was born on in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan to Ober Gultom and Junita Panjaitan. His father, Ober Gultom, was a high-ranking public servant in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (Indonesia), Ministry of Public Works and Housing. The oldest child in a Protestantism, Protestant family, he has a sister named Ersya. Gultom studied in three different islands during his formative years, which gave a strong impact on how he views the correlation between the improvement of regional infrastructure and the importance of human development. Samosir, or Samosir Island, is a large volcanic island in Lake Toba, located in the north of the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. Administratively, Samosir Island is governed as six of the nine districts within Samosir Regency. The lake and island were formed after the eruption of a supervolcano some 75,000 years ago. North Sumatra ( id, Sumatra Utara) is a province of Indonesia located on the northern part of the island of Sumatra. Its capital and largest city is Medan. Djarot Saiful Hidayat (born 6 July 1962) is an Indonesian politician who is currently a member of the People's Representative Council. He was the governor of Jakarta, in office between 15 June and 15 October 2017 after being acting governor since 9 May. 2020 Indonesian Local Elections
Local elections (Indonesian: ''Pemilihan Kepala Daerah'' or ''Pilkada'') were held in Indonesia on 9 December 2020. Voters elected nine governors, 224 regents, and 37 mayors across the country. All the elections were held on the same day, and over 100 million people were expected to be eligible to vote. Background Simultaneous local elections (''Pilkada Serentak'') was first held in Indonesia in 2015. Commodore is a senior naval rank used in many navies which is equivalent to brigadier and air commodore. It is superior to a navy captain, but below a rear admiral. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle ( id, Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, PDI-P) is an Indonesian political party, and the party of the current President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The PDI-P was founded and is currently led by Megawati Sukarnoputri, president of Indonesia from 2001 to 2004, and daughter of Sukarno, the first president of Indonesia. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (, Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Chûng Van-ho̍k''; born 29 June 1966) is an Indonesian businessman, politician, and former governor of Jakarta.
