Van Meeuwen
Van Meeuwen is a list of Dutch noble families, Dutch noble family. History Jan Jansz van Meeuwen, the first recorded member of the family lived in the 17th century at Megen, was a coppersmith and pan repairman. Later, the family moved to Oss, and subsequently also became part of the political elite of 's-Hertogenbosch and The Hague. Many members were bankers, politician, civil servants, lawyers, chief executive officers and diplomats. Some were officers of the Dutch army, members of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands, House of Representatives and Senate of the Netherlands. The family has belonged to the lower Dutch nobility, with the honorific of jonkheer, since 1834. Since the 19th century, the family have owned the 80 hectare estate of Eikenburg which is located to the south of Rosmalen, North Brabant. Pieter Godfried Maria Van Meeuwen
Jonkheer Pieter Godfried Maria van Meeuwen (11 March 1899 in 's-Hertogenbosch – 9 February 1982 in Ulestraten) was a Dutch judge and a politician. Van Meeuwen studied law at Leiden University and obtained his degree in 1924. After working as a lawyer in 's-Hertogenbosch until 1927 he was a court clerk at the local arrondissement court until 1930. Van Meeuwen subsequently judge at the same court, which he remained until 1936. He then took up a similar position at The Hague court, which he kept until 1949. He then acquired a seat in the court of justice (''Dutch'':Gerechtshof) in the same city. He stayed on until 1951, and then took up a similar position at the court of justice of 's-Hertogenbosch. In 1955 he transferred to the canton court of Heerlen, where he served until April 1969. Eduard Anton Eugène Van Meeuwen
Jonkheer Eduard Anton Eugène van Meeuwen (1876 – 1946) was a Dutch lawyer and vice-president of the Court of 's-Hertogenbosch. Eduard van Meeuwen, son of jhr. Lodewijk Cornelis Josephus Andreas van Meeuwen and scion of the catholic noble family Van Meeuwen (titled as a jonkheer), studied law at Leiden University. In 1902 he complete a Juris Doctor degree at Utrecht University. He was a lawyer in 's-Hertogenbosch. Between 1930 and 1944 he was a judge and vice-president of the Court of 's-Hertogenbosch. Jonkheer Pieter Leon van Meeuwen (16 August 1870, 's-Hertogenbosch – 6 July 1921, The Hague) was a Dutch jurist and president of the Court in The Hague. Jhr. van Meeuwen is a son of jhr. Jonkheer Lodewijk Cornelis Josephus Andreas van Meeuwen ('s-Hertogenbosch, 1844 – 's-Hertogenbosch, 1918) was a Dutch lawyer and president of the court. Jonkheer Pieter Maria Frans van Meeuwen (1837 's-Hertogenbosch - 1913 's-Hertogenbosch), was a Dutch jurist and president of the court of justice. Petrus Andreas van Meeuwen ('s-Hertogenbosch, January 27, 1772 – Maastricht, August 19, 1848) was a Dutch politician, lawyer, a member of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands, and a member of the Council of State of the Netherlands. Career Van Meeuwen grew up in 's-Hertogenbosch in the Catholic family van Meeuwen. His father, Johannes Petrus van Meeuwen, was a hereditary secretary of the council of the North Brabant villages Oss, Lithoyen, Berghem, Heeswijk and Nistelrode. The younger Van Meeuwen studied law in Leiden. In 1803 he was created attorney-general of North Brabant. King Louis Napoleon made him a member of the Council of State in the Netherlands. Rosmalen
Rosmalen () is a town in the province of North Brabant, in the south of the Netherlands. The town is located 6 kilometers east of the city of 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) and has been part of that Municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality since 1996. Its population is around 37,240 on 1 January 2021. In 2005 the town began construction of a new neighbourhood, (named after the large Kolk (vortex), kolks in the area created by flood water), to include 5,000 homes and other buildings.
