Mario van der Ende (born March 28, 1956, in The Hague, South Holland) is a retired football referee and coordinator from the Netherlands. He is mostly known for supervising five matches in the FIFA World Cup: three in 1994 FIFA World Cup, 1994 and two in 1998 FIFA World Cup, 1998. Van der Ende also officiated one match in the 1996 European Championships, two UEFA Super Cup matches and many in the Champions League. In 1990, he got his FIFA badge as a referee. His hometown is Naarden. They played a technical style of thrash originally evoking bands like Testament, though they would later move on to playing in their own unique, more progressive thrash style. Ricardo van der Ende (born 13 July 1979 in Poeldijk) is a Dutch racing driver. He won the 2001 Formula Chrysler Euroseries season with the Belgian team of Vortex Motorsport. He also won the Winter Series of the British Formula Ford Championship in 1998 and the Formula Ford Festival in 1999. Later on he went karting and became Dutch champion of the Dutch Rotax Max Challenge in 2003. In 2004 he became European and French karting champion of ICC 125cc.
