''Vamban'' is a 1987 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Hassan. The film stars Ratheesh, Rohini, Kalaranjini and Anuradha in the lead roles. The film has musical score by A. T. Ummer.This film got in to controversy when the villain misbehaved with Rohini during rape scene shooting. Ranipadmini
Rani Padmini (1962 – 15 October 1986) was an Indian actress during the 1980s in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and a few Hindi films. She entered the film field with ''Sangharsham'' and played notable roles in '' Parankimala'', ''Sharam'', ''Bandhanam'' and ''Kilikonchal''. She was murdered on 15 October 1986 at her home, along with her mother, by three of her employees. Personal life She was born to Chaudri and Indirakumari at Anna Nagar, Madras. Anuradha (born Sulochana Devi) is an Indian film and television actress. She was mainly active in the 1980s and 1990s. She was known for her item numbers. Bheeman Raghu (born 6 October 1953) is an Indian actor, singer, dancer, former politician and police officer (retired) who appears mainly in Malayalam films and is best known for his villainous and comedy roles. In a career spanning over three decades, he has appeared in more than 400 films, and has started doing comic roles as well. Chandrashekaran Menon, better known by his screen name Sankaradi (14 July 1924 – 8 October 2001), was an Indian actor. He was a veteran Malayalam comedian and character artist, who had over 700 Malayalam films to his credit. Ratheesh (1954–2002) was an Indian actor best known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He was a native of Kalavoor in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, India. Edappal Ponnamkuzhi Veettil Parameswaran Sukumaran Nair (10 June 1948 – 16 June 1997), known mononymously as Sukumaran, was an Indian actor and producer of Malayalam films. Sukumaran became a popular film star in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s.
