Valérie Garnier (born 9 January 1965) is a French basketball coach for the French national team, which participated at the 2014 FIBA World Championship. She was a French basketball player. She has coached French basketball teams since 1995 and France's women's national basketball team since 2013. Cholet (, probably from Latin ''cauletum'', "cabbage") is a commune of western France, in the Maine-et-Loire department. With 54,307 inhabitants (2019), it is the second most populous commune of Maine-et-Loire, after the prefecture, Angers. Geography Cholet stands on an eminence on the right bank of the river Moine, which is crossed by a bridge from the fifteenth century. It is about 50 km southeast of Nantes. 2023 FIBA Europe SuperCup Women
The 2023 FIBA Europe SuperCup Women was the 12th edition of the FIBA Europe SuperCup Women. It was held in 28 September 2023, in Lyon, France between LDLC ASVEL Féminin and Fenerbahçe Alagoz Holding. Fenerbahçe became the first Turkish club to win the title by crushing France's ASVEL Féminin 109–52 on their own homeground. This win has set the record for the largest margin victory in the SuperCup's history. Venue The venue was the Astroballe in Lyon. EuroBasket Women 2017
The 2017 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2017, was the 36th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The tournament was awarded to Czech Republic after winning the bid to Serbia. The tournament also serves as a qualification for the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain, with the top five nations qualifying. As hosts Spain finished in the top five, the sixth placed team also qualified. The championship was reverted to a 16 teams championship, after the 20 teams that participated in 2015. Spain defeated France 71–55 in the final to win their third title. In total, 61 556 people visited this event.
