Valsalyam
''Vatsalyam'' (English: Parental love) is a 1993 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Cochin Haneefa and written by A. K. Lohithadas. It stars Mammootty, Siddique, Geetha, Janardhanan, Sunitha, Ilavarasi, Aboobacker, and Kaviyoor Ponnamma. The film contrasts traditional and modern values following two brothers ''Meledathu Raghavan Nair'' (Mammootty) and ''Vijayakumaran Nair'' (Siddique). Plot Meledathu Raghavan Nair (Mammootty) is the only support of a big family that includes his mother, wife Malathi ( Geetha), brother Vijayakumaran Nair ( Siddique), sister Sudha (Sunitha), uncle Kunjammama (Aboobacker) and his daughter Nalini (Bindu Panicker). After Raghavan's father's death the whole responsibility of the family came upon Raghavan. His father had left with them huge amount of debts which then reached a stage of attachment from court. Kozhikode Narayanan Nair
Kozhikode Narayanan Nair is an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema, who has acted in more than 300 films. He entered the "Malayalam" movie industry (Mollywood) through a drama troupe. His first film was ''Aabhijathyam'' (1970), and he is also remembered for his role as Valyamama in a Malayalam movie called '' Valsalyam'' (1993). Early life Nair was born in 1940 in Panthirankavu in the Kozhikode district. He entered his career in early school days through drama playing activities. Later, he became the member of a professional drama troop - Stage India. He continued his drama life with employment in sylon printers. Ottapalam Pappan
Ottapalam Pappan (15 June 1945 - 25 July 2013) was an Indian theatre, television and film actor in Malayalam movies during the 1990s and 2000s. Pappan started as a theatre artist and later debuted in film with the 1991 movie '' Valsalyam''. He acted in around 80 movies. His popular movies are '' Golanthara Vartha'', ''Pingami'', ''Oru Maravathoor Kanavu'' and ''Sallapam''. Pappan was active in the theater scene from 1970 to 1990. He had acted in many telefilms and won best supporting actor television award from State Government in 2009 for the telefilm ''Irul meghangalkkum Soorya reshmikalkkum madhye'', received from Minister M. Sreeja Ravi
Sreeja Ravi is an Indian voice artist who has lent her dubbing voice to over 2000 films in total and also performed voices for numerous commercial ads. She started her dubbing career in the year 1975 for the movie ''Uttarayanam'', directed by G. Aravindan. She is the winner of four time Kerala State Film Award, one Tamil Nadu State Film Award and two Kerala Film Critics Awards for dubbing. Sreeja can speak Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, English and also Kannada, as she used those six major Indian languages to perform dubbing roles in foreign productions. Personal life Sreeja was born to Kunjukuttan, who was a mechanical engineer and Kannur Narayani, who was a theater and dubbing artist. After her father's death in 1972, the family moved to Chennai. Her mother started working as a dubbing artist and has acted in a few movies and dramas. Sreeja used to go to studios with her mother and eventually started dubbing.
