Valerie Parv
Valerie Christine Parv (1951 – 25 April 2021) was a popular Australian writer of over 70 romance novels, with more than 34 million sales. She published her novels in Mills & Boon's since 1982. Biography Valerie married Paul Parv, who was a crocodile hunter in the tropical north of Australia. They lived for some years in Sydney. Her husband became a cartoonist, and they moved to the capital city, Canberra. They were married for 38 years prior to her husband's death in 2008. Valerie published her first novels in 1982. She was recognised as a media spokesperson for all things romantic in Australia. Awards and honours Parv was an Australia Day Ambassador for the National Australia Day Council from 2006. She has also been awarded the '' Romantic Times'' Book Reviews New York Pioneer of Romance Award. In 2015 Parv was made a member of the Order of Australia for "significant service to the arts as a prolific author, and as a role model and mentor to young emerging writers". ... Carla Cassidy, née Carla Bracale (born in Kansas, U.S.) is an American writer of over 80 romance novels since 1988. She initially signed her novels as Carla Bracale (her maiden name); now as Carla Cassidy (her married name). She also penned a fantasy novel as Carla Cook. Biography Carla Bracale grew up in a very small town in Kansas, U.S., where her father was an educator to children. She has been a professional cheerleader, an actress, and a singer-dancer in a show band before settling into her true love of writing. Laurie Blalock Vanzura(born Texas, United States) is an American author of contemporary romance novels, first under the pseudonym Laura Anthony, and now as Lori Wilde. Biography Laurie Blalock was born in Texas, United States. She wrote her first short story at age eight, and finished her first novel four years later. At sixteen, she submitted a story to Alfred Hitchcock Magazine. Although it was rejected, she received a handwritten note telling her to keep writing. She continued to write, finishing 60 short stories over the next 10 years, persisting even while attending nursing school. All of her short stories were rejected, and a writing teacher finally suggested, in 1990, that she try to write a novel. Wilde took the teacher's advice, and in 1994 sold her second completed work to Silhouette Romance under the pseudonym Laura Anthony.
