''Valensia'' (released in Japan as ''Gaia'') is a 1993 album by Dutch singer Valensia Clarkson. It is Valensia's debut album.Billboard - Jan 29, 1994 - Page 49 2 on the Dutch national singles chart, also is featured on Clarkson's debut album, titled simply "Valensia." All 12 tracks on the album were composed and arranged by Clarkson, who also performed all the vocals and played various instruments ... Aldous Byron Valensia Clarkson (born April 13, 1971, in The Hague), better known as simply Valensia, is a Dutch composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Early life Valensia grew up in Waalwijk and used to spend a lot of his time at the family's beachhouse in Dénia, Spain. As a child, he played guitar and sang at the beaches in Dénia. He had also written a lot of songs and was even offered a record contract, but his parents decided he was too young for the music business and refused the offer. Several years later, in the Netherlands, Valensia played in local bands, usually on keyboard or guitar. Career 1992–1995: Gaia era Valensia met Robby Valentine (another Dutch singer) at an airport, as they were both listening to Queen´s "Bohemian Rhapsody". After that, Valensia started sending demos to several record companies and producer John Sonneveld noticed him. Emmy Verhey
Emmy Verhey (born 13 March 1949, in Amsterdam) is a Dutch violinist. Biography Verhey received her first violin lesson from her father when she was seven. Within a year, she played the Violin Concerto in A minor and the Concerto for Two Violins by Johann Sebastian Bach. Recognized as a child prodigy, she went to study at age 8 with the Austrian-born violin teacher Oskar Back. Later she studied with Herman Krebbers, Bela Dekany, Wolfgang Schneiderhan in Lucerne and David Oistrakh in Moscow. At the age of 17, she was the youngest prize winning finalist at the 1966 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. A week later Verhey graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory.
