Þórarinn Ingi Valdimarsson
Þórarinn Ingi Valdimarsson ''(anglicized Thorarinn Ingi Valdimarsson)'' (born 23 April 1990) is an Icelandic footballer who plays for Stjarnan. Club career Þórarinn was born and raised in the town of Vestmannaeyjar, and got his debut for Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja (ÍBV) in 2007 and played 12 games for the team in the 1. deild karla. Þórarinn scored 2 goals in 19 games when ÍBV won promotion to Úrvalsdeild after winning the 2008 1. deild karla, and was named as the most promising player of the squad at the end of the season. The same year he played 5 games for the Iceland U19 national team. Þórarinn was on a one-month trial with Belgian team KV Mechelen in January 2009. Þórarinn scored 1 goal in 19 matches in 2009 when ÍBV again were playing in the Icelandic top league, after five years of absence. Hannibal Valdimarsson
Hannibal Gísli Valdimarsson (13 January 1903 – 1 September 1991) was an Icelandic politician. Parliament He was a member of parliament from 1946 to 1959 for the Social Democratic Party and People's Alliance and then from 1963 to 1974 for the People's Alliance, as an independent and also the Union of Liberals and Leftists ( is, Samtök frjálslyndra og vinstrimanna). He was chairman of the Social Democratic Party 1952–1954, president of Icelandic Labor Unions 1954–1971, as well as the chairman of the Electoral Alliance People's Alliance (Iceland) from 1956 to 1968. Finally he was chairman of Union of Liberals and Leftists from 1969 to 1974. He served as Social and Health Minister 1956–1958 and as Communication and Social minister 1971–1973. Helgi Valdimarsson
Helgi Valdimarsson (1936–2018) was a professor of immunology at the University of Iceland. He established the first Immunology laboratory of Iceland in 1983. He was a senior lecturer at St Mary's Hospital Medical school, London, England, from 1975 to 1981 and a visiting professor at St. Mary's from 1981 to 1990. He has published over 180 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, and for his work on psoriasis he has received several research grants, including European Commission Grant (1998–2002) and a Fogarty Scholarship in 2003.
