Valdenia Winn
Valdenia Camille "Val" Winn (born December 7, 1950) is an American Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 34th district. She has served since 2001. Since 1972, Winn has worked as a professor at Kansas City Kansas Community College. Dr. Winn currently serves as the Vice President of the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools Board of Education. David Haley
David B. Haley (born October 29, 1958) is a Democratic member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 4th district since 2001. From 1995 to 2001, he was a Kansas Representative. He ran unsuccessfully for Kansas Secretary of State in 2002 and 2006. He is the son of politician George W. Haley and nephew of Pulitzer Prize winner Alex Haley.
