Sarca
The Sarca is a river springing from the Adamello-Presanella mountains in the Italian Alps and flowing into Lake Garda at Torbole. As an emissary of the lake it becomes known as the Mincio river, forming a single river system long (''Sarca-Mincio''). With its length, it is the fifth largest river in Trentino after the Adige, Brenta , Noce and Avisio , while it is the second for flow after Adige. Origin of the name The term "Giudicarie", means "judicial districts" and goes back to legal traditions of the Middle Age. Actually the term ''Judicaria'' was used during the Lombard domination (6th-8th century) to indicate a certain kind of territorial districts descending from a previous Roman military organization.
