Vagif Samadoghlu
Vagif Samadoghlu ( az, Vaqif Səmədoğlu, 5 June 1939 – 28 January 2015) was an Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijani poet, playwright, publicist, People's Poet of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy of the National Assembly (Azerbaijan), National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Biography Vagif Samadoghlu was born on 5 June 1939 in Baku. After Vakilov graduated from the Music School named after Bulbul (singer), Bulbul he studied at National Conservatory of Azerbaijan. Passed a professional course at the Moscow Conservatory, Moscow Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky (1962–1963). He has worked as chief of art editorial office of Azerbaijani Soviet Encyclopedia (1968–1971) and editor-in-chief of the ''Oghuz Eli'' newspaper (1992–1994). Then Vakilov worked as a piano teacher at the National Conservatory of Azerbaijan (1963–1971), as the literary director of the movie-actor theater at the Azerbaijanfilm studio named after Jafar Jabbarly, J. Bulbul (singer)
Bulbul, ( az, Bülbül, born Murtuza Rza oghlu Mammadov, 22 June 1897 – 26 September 1961) was a famous Azerbaijani and Soviet opera tenor, folk music performer, and one of the founders of vocal arts and national musical theatre in Azerbaijan. Biography Bulbul was born in 1897 in Khanbaghi, a hamlet in the former royal gardens between Shusha and Khankandi. His mother was from the village of Pareular, the daughter of a nomad Kurd. He was known for his musical talent since his childhood, which is why people nicknamed him Bulbul ("nightingale" in Azerbaijani). He chose it as a stage name when he became involved in professional music. While still a young khananda, he was invited to Baku in 1920 to perform the role of Karam in Uzeyir Hajibeyov's opera ''Asli and Karam''. The Union of Azerbaijani Writers ( az, Azərbaycan Yazıçılar Birliyi) is the largest public organization of Azerbaijani writers, poets and publicists. It has over 1500 members at present. It was founded on June 13, 1934, when Azerbaijan was a part of the Soviet Union as the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic. History Prior to 1934, Azerbaijani writers grouped in variety of literary unions. In 1923, a group of writers formed the "İldırım" United Organization of Turkic Publicists and Poets. Later, in 1925, another organization known as "Qızıl qələmlər" (''Golden Pens'') was established uniting most writers and regularly conducting literary gathering events. The Union of Azerbaijani Writers was established on June 13, 1934. There were 93 members upon its registration. Jafar Gafar oglu Jabbarly, ( az, Cəfər Qafar oğlu Cabbarlı, 20 March 1899, Khizi – 31 December 1934, Baku) was an Azerbaijani playwright, poet, director and screenwriter. Life After his father's death in 1902, Jabbarli's mother moved to Baku with her four children. In 1915, Jabbarli graduated from high school and studied electromechanics at Baku Polytechnicum for the next 5 years. In 1920 he was admitted to Azerbaijan State University to study applied medicine but due to his lack of interest soon switched to Oriental studies.
