Vachan (Devika, Meera)
''Vachan'' (Hindi: वचन English: Word) is a 1955 Indian Bollywood film directed by Raj Rishi and produced by Devendra Goel. The film stars Geeta Bali and Rajendra Kumar in lead roles. The film marked the debut of composer Ravi. It was also Rajendra Kumar's first major film role. It received two nominations at the annual Filmfare Awards. Plot Kamla (Geeta Bali) lives a poor lifestyle in a small town in Uttar Pradesh along with her widowed dad, Dinanath, who works as an accountant, and two younger brothers, Kumar and Kishore. Her father's biggest dream is to get Kamla married to her lover, a wealthy man named Prem (Balraj), and ensure that Kumar and Kishore get properly educated. As Dinanath's eyesight deteriorates, the quality of his work deteriorates and he loses his job. Devendra Goel (3 March 1919 – 26 February 1979) was an Indian film director and producer of Bollywood films and best known for his work in the 1950s and early 1960s. He directed Aankhen on his debut. Balraj (actor)
Brigadier Balraj (born Balasegaram Kandiah) was a senior commander of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). Early life Balraj was the fifth and youngest child of Kandiah and Kannagias. He received his primary education in Kokkuthoduwaai (in Mullaitheevu district) and his secondary education in Pulmoddai (in Trincomalee district). After he passed his O levels, his parents wanted to send him to university; however, due to civil unrest throughout the country they were unable to do so. Balraj was fluent in Tamil, Sinhala and English. Although none of his siblings joined the Tamil Tigers, some of his nephews and nieces did. Ek Do Teen () is a Hindi song from the film ''Baaghi 2''. The song was a remake of the original ''Ek Do Teen'' from the film ''Tezaab'' which was sung by Alka Yagnik and Amit Kumar.
