Vacation
A vacation (American English) or holiday (British English) is either a leave of absence from a regular job or an instance of leisure travel away from home. People often take a vacation during specific holiday observances or for specific festivals or celebrations. Vacations are often spent with friends or family. Vacations may include a specific trip or journey, usually for the purpose of recreation or tourism. A person may take a longer break from work, such as a sabbatical, gap year, or career break. The concept of taking a vacation is a recent invention, and has developed through the last two centuries. Eduardo Vaca (1944-1998) was an Argentine senator for the Justicialist Party. Eduardo Vaca was elected deputy for the 1985-1989 period. Vaca Valley Railroad
The Vaca Valley and Clear Lake Railroad was a standard gauge railroad that operated at Vacaville, California in the late 19th century. The Vaca Valley Railroad was incorporated on April 12, 1869 to run a branch from the mainline of the California Pacific Railroad (later Southern Pacific Railroad's mainline between Sacramento and Oakland, CA) at Elmira to Rumsey. The Vaca Valley Railroad ran 4.35 miles from Elmira to Vacaville. In June 1869 the line was opened for service. The Vaca Valley was sold at the Solano County Sheriff's auction on September 17, 1870 but retained the same name. The railroad was then extended beyond Vacaville, reaching Winters on August 26, 1875. In 1877, just 10 weeks after completing the track between Winters and Madison the Vaca Valley Railroad became the Vaca Valley and Clear Lake Railroad. Joselito Vaca
José "Joselito" Vaca Velasco (born August 12, 1982 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra) is a Bolivian footballer. He currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Blooming in the Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano (Bolivian Professional League). Club career Vaca joined Oriente Petrolero in 1999 at the age of 17, and played 33 games for the team his first year. In 2000, he was named the Best Player in the Bolivian League, as he helped lead Petrolero to a second-place finish in the league and concomitant Copa Libertadores berth. Following the 2000 season, Vaca signed with Major League Soccer, and was selected fifth overall by the Dallas Burn in the 2001 MLS SuperDraft. Jorge Vaca (born 14 December 1959) is a Mexican former professional boxer who held the World Welterweight Championship. Professional career Vaca turned pro in 1978 and captured the WBC and Lineal welterweight title by beating Lloyd Honeyghan via 8th round technical decision in 1987, but lost the belt to Honeyghan via 3rd KO in a rematch in 1988. Later that year he took on IBF Welterweight Title holder Simon Brown, but lost the bout via 3rd TKO. Although he never got a shot again at another major title, Vaca was destroyed by a relatively young Roy Jones Jr. in one round, in the Light-Middleweight weight-class in 1992. Farides Vaca Suárez (born 10 September 1969) is a Bolivian librarian and politician who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies from Beni, representing circumscription 62 from 2010 to 2015. Edder Javier Vaca Quinde (born 25 December 1985) is an Ecuadorian footballer. Club career Edder Vaca started out with the 3rd-level club Rocafuerte Fútbol Club out of Guayaquil. The Vaca Mountains are a mountain range in Napa and Solano Counties, California that is one of the California Coast Ranges. They represent the easternmost of the Inner Coast Ranges in north−central California, and divide the Suisun Valley on their west, from the Sacramento Valley on their east. Geography The Vaca Mountains are one of the most prominent landmarks of Solano County, with a steep ridge on the east side that rises abruptly or more above the foothills below.
