Vietnam Television
Vietnam Television ( vi, Đài Truyền hình Việt Nam), or VTV, is the national television broadcaster of Vietnam. As the state broadcaster under the direction of the government of Vietnam, VTV is tasked with "propagating the views of the Party, policies, laws of the government". History VTV was established with technical assistance and training from Cuba on 7 September 1970, in Hanoi, as a department of Voice of Vietnam. During the Vietnam War it broadcast intermittently from a mountainous region. After reunification in 1975, the former US-run stations in the south became part of the national network, and broadcasting was extended to the entire country. Color television was experimented in 1977 and adopted the French SECAM standard and fully implemented in 1986. Vietnam Television became an official name on 30 April 1987. And by 1990, VTV viewers had two national TV channels to choose from as VTV2 was launched and that year switched to PAL.

Thời Sự (VTV)
Thời sự (literally, 'Current Affairs'; also known as the ''News'') is the main news program produced by the News Department of Vietnam Television (VTV). First broadcast on September 7, 1970, it is one of the oldest and most watched programs in Vietnam. The program also plays a key role in the work of information, propaganda, and public opinion orientation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the State and the Government of Vietnam. Main editions of ''Thời sự'' are broadcast live at two timeslots. The midday edition airs at 12:00 daily on VTV1, while the evening edition airs at 19:00 daily on VTV1 and VTV3 and is simultaneously broadcast on most local TV stations and several national TV channels in Vietnam as well. On various other timeslots of the day, shorter editions of the ''News'' usually broadcast at the peak of the hour. VTV1
VTV1 is a state-owned Vietnamese-language news channel and also the first television channel of Vietnam Television Station, and the third channel of VTV to broadcast HD, broadcast continuously with a duration of 24 hours a day from June 15, 2011 to present, with nearly 20 news bulletins and dozens of weekly columns, referring to current political issues of the country. The channel was formerly a general news, sports and entertainment channel until VTV3 launched in 1996 and when VTV1 became an all-news channel. It also features news in Vietnamese, formerly with English and French. VTV3
VTV3 is a Vietnamese television channel operated and owned by government-owned Vietnam Television. Launched on 31 March 1996 as the country's first sports and entertainment integrated channel, its programs contained sporting events and entertainment-oriented programs including music, variety shows, leisure & lifestyles, nationally produced, as well as American and Asian series. Broadcast history * VTV3 was broadcast by Vietnam Television for testing from June 1994 during the 1994 World Cup, with the remaining programs broadcasting at the same frequency range of VTV1 and VTV2. The original content of VTV3 at that time was ''Sports – Entertainment – Economic Information''. VTV2
VTV2 is a Vietnamese television channel owned and operated by state-run VTV Network. Launched on 1 January 1990, VTV2 is dedicated to the broadcast of education and cultural programs. Since 1 May 2020, the channel has broadcast for 24/7. In 1993, Vietnam Television signed an accord with Canal France Television of France Télévisions to broadcast selected programs of the latter channel. This channel has broadcasting HDTV version from 19 May 2015. After VTV6 stopped broadcasting, VTV2 broadcast some V-League matches live. Starting from 2023 season, VTV2 will take the VTV6's role to broadcast V-league matches live (along with VTV5 and VTV Cần Thơ). The live show airs on the first Sunday of every month at 21:00 UTC+7 while the weekly chart show airs every Sunday at 14:15 UTC+7. It is hosted by Danh Tùng and Thùy Linh. The show was introduced as a music chart for Vietnamese songs. ''Bước nhảy hoàn vũ'' () is a reality show produced by Vietnam Television and Cát Tiên Sa Production. The show originates from the BBC series ''Strictly Come Dancing'' and is a part of the international ''Dancing with the Stars'' franchise. The first season aired from April 11 to June 20, 2010 with 8 pairs of celebrities and professional dancers. The show returned for its second season on April 17, 2011 and the third season on mid March, 2012. The current panel of judges consists of Khánh Thi, Lê Hoàng and Trần Ly Ly, leaving Khánh Thi is the only original judge until this season. Lê Hoàng made a comeback after two seasons breaking.
