VH-1 Germany
VH-1 Deutschland (VH-1 Germany) was a localized German version of the Viacom channel VH1 that was on air from 1995 to 2001. The program was operated by ''Me, Myself & Eye Entertainment GmbH'', the former editorial office of Tele 5's predecessor musicbox, in cooperation with MTV Networks Europe. In contrast to the other language versions, ''VH-1 Deutschland'' had to use the January 1985 – 1987 American logo rather than the then-current logo of the American incarnation and consequently a different spelling, as the ARD saw too many parallels to its own logo in the original logo. MTV2 Pop
MTV2 Pop was a German music channel. It launched on 1 May 2001, taking over the transponder left by the analogue service of MTV UK and Ireland when it closed down. It replaced VH-1 Germany. The channel mainly focused on Europop and eurodance music (uplifting house/uplifting trance, vocal trance, pumping house, progressive trance). It closed on 11 September 2005, being replaced by Nickelodeon Germany. MTV2 Pop also broadcast anime such as ''InuYasha'', ''Lupin III'', '' Golden Boy'', '' Cowboy Bebop'' and ''The Vision of Escaflowne''. ''Behind the Music'' is a documentary television series on VH1. Each episode profiles and interviews a popular musical artist or group. The program examines the beginning of their career, their road to success, and the hardships they may have encountered. In 2021, it was announced that the series would be rebooted by Paramount+, which premiered on July 29, 2021. Premise Each show focuses on a musician or musical group, documenting both the successes of the musicians and the problems they faced during their careers. Except for the first two episodes (which focused on Milli Vanilli and M.C. Hammer), all programs are narrated by Jim Forbes. Forbes was later used to narrate the Milli Vanilli episode when it was modified to include the death of Rob Pilatus. Bravo TV (TV Series)
BRAVO TV is a German television program which aired from January 1985 till December 1986 on Sat.1 and from May 1993 till December 2002 on RTL II. In February 2003 the ZDF took over the show, but it was cancelled due to bad ratings in November 2004. The show later had a short-lived revival on ProSieben and was aired again for the first time on November 5, 2005. In May 2007 it was cancelled for good. The television show covered similar topics as the ''BRAVO'' print magazine.
